ROCKIT - The Sounds of Young Jamaica, is one of my personal favourite nights down at The Sunrooms and happens every 1st Friday of the Month. Oliver Von Fresh and P.B. Correct lead you through Southend's musical answer to New York and Kingston Town, circa 1957 via 1982 to 1995. Their music collection is uniquely dedicated to the underground sounds of Jamaica and black America. Expect Delta Blues | Bluebeat | Rare Soul | Rocksteady to Block Party Hip Hop | Dancehall | Boss Reggae | Digital | Bass Riddum. So get your dancing shoes and feet down here every 1st Friday of the Month to join in and tune in the sounds you will love. And don't forget that if your feeling really in the mood - you can head down at 7pm to take advantage of 2 whole hours of 2 for 1 cocktail offers before the DJ's take over from 9pm till 3am!!
