SUNDAY FUNDAY!!!!

Reggae Sundays at The Sunrooms are back and badder than your nan with a sawn-off shotgun!! RYAN ASHWOOD is supplying the tunes all day from about 3pm through til we shut at 11pm! He comes fully loaded with record boxes and records coming out of his ears! I have honestly never seen a record collection as big as his - and the best thing is - he goes and spends the money we pay him on more reggae!! RYAN ASHWOOD was recently asked to open for PAMA INTERNATIONAL (who in 2006, were the first band to be signed by TROJAN RECORDS for 30 years / Not too mention the fact that the band were formed by the legendary LYNVAL GOLDING from THE SPECIALS!!) Make sure you get down to The Sunrooms on a Sunday to check out RYAN - the music is piped into the garden too, so you can get the reggae sunshine fever over a nice Sunday recovery lunch and a Red Stripe!! Not to forget - - the roast dinners will be making a return in the winter! xx.

HE AIN'T BEER, HE'S MY BROTHER

Summer is almost here and everybody (including us) starts digging the cider. We have decided to add a couple of cider's to our range here at The Sunrooms for this coming summer! After um-ing and ah-ing over several brands and various flavours - we made a decision to rock with BROTHERS CIDER! BROTHERS has a long history spanning back to 1658 and since 1995, has become very well known, due to it association with festivals. Once we did some research and some tasting :) , we thought that seeing as many of our guests and customers, past and present, had partied and frequented many festivals in their time, it would do it justice to stock BROTHERS at The Sunrooms! We will be filling our fridges with 3 different varieties of BROTHERS - their FESTIVAL STRENGTH PEAR CIDER (7% Abv) - STRAWBERRY PEAR CIDER (4% Abv) - and finally their TOFFEE APPLE CIDER (4% Abv). So.... if you fancy sitting in the sun drinking cider in the coming months, we hope you come and seek us out!! xx.

Club NME have taken over The Sunrooms on Thursdays! If you haven't been down on a Thursday yet - then, well i suggest you get down here! We have loads of drink promotions running and there is 2 floors of music! Previous guests have included Rev (from The Prodigy), Kunt and The Gang, Ipso Facto and Sunta Templeton to mention just a few! There are many more guests lined up to play this year! Club NME have also been recruiting local bands to play - so if you fancy supporting some local bands from the Southend area get down here on a Thursday and start your weekend early or failing that, if your a member of a local band and you fancy coming down to play - send us an email and we can pass your details over to Club NME! This week SHIFTY STRANGERS (formerly ChavTownBand) are playing and they always put in a good performance, definitely not one to miss! SOMETHING FOR THE SUMMER

Hi all just to update you on some refreshing new tipple's we are lining up for the Summer. Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer is as refreshing as it comes, pour over ice with a slice of lemon and you're on to a winner! Sorry guys but the samples have been well and truely tried and tested, and approved! The order has been placed, and the fridges will be full by the weekend. Welcome to The Sunrooms Blogspot! We decided to create a blog instead of getting a website designed! To be honest we cant overly afford a website at the minute and we also thought that if we have a blog it may be a little more engaging with you, our guests and customers! As well as this, i am sure we will be able to manage our blog more effectively than a website and therefore we will able to update you on things that are happening down here over the coming months and so forth!
